Father J. Roy Boucher, OMI
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Galilee Centre (1975-2025) the Board of Directors is honored to launch the
J. Roy Boucher, OMI, Memorial Legacy Fund.
This fund will subsidize spiritual programs and retreats dear to Fr. Roy’s heart and core to Galilee Centre’s identity, ensuring they are affordable and accessible for everyone. Our goal is to create a $200,000 endowment, with the interest generated annually to be used in supporting spiritual programs and retreats.
Galilee Centre was founded on April 5, 1975, as a ministry of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Father J. Roy Boucher, OMI (1940-2023) was appointed as its founding director. Under his leadership, Galilee consistently developed to embody his founding vision of
“Come and Go.”
“Come” to Galilee to be nourished in body, mind and spirit.
“Go” back to be a leaven of God’s grace for others wherever you are.
Donations to the J. Roy Boucher, OMI, Memorial Legacy Fund can be made on our donations page, including online through CanadaHelps. Our Executive Director is available to discuss support for the fund through planned giving, such as bequests or estate donations.
