Join us for an evening with Cheri DiNovo as she discusses her views on Women and Faith in Politics as part of Galilee Centre’s Women and Faith Weekend.

Cheri DiNovo, MPP Parkdale - High Park, has been most recognized in her leadership to end poverty in Ontario with the Living Wage Bill and Payday Lending Bill. Both pieces of legislation have received strong support from anti-poverty groups, the media, and people across Ontario.

Prior to her election to Queen’s Park, Cheri was the Minister of Emmanuel-Howard Park United Church on Roncesvalles Avenue. She is a former board member of the Centre for Active Resources food program at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, as well as King Street’s Shalom House community kitchen

In addition to being described by the Toronto Star as a “sparkplug” at Queen’s Park and a leader who “personifies an emerging consensus”, Cheri was named “Favourite Politician” by the Parkdale Liberty for her ongoing pledge to donate her monthly MPP raise to local organizations and charities.
