FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Spiritual Programs Coordinator begins full time at Galilee Centre/Holy Week Retreat being hosted in March Arnprior, ON – February 18, 2008 - David Illman-White, part of the Ministry team at Grace St. Andrews United Church, begins full time at Galilee Centre in March in his role as Spiritual Programs Coordinator. This Coincides with Galilee’s Holy Week Retreat, which Illman-White will organize, from Saturday, March 15 to Sunday, March 23. "It's perfect timing for the Centre," said Darlene O'Leary, Executive Director of Galilee Centre. "David is taking on more responsibility at Galilee just in time for Holy Week, and we are glad to have him for this sacred time and beyond." Illman-White has been part of the Ministry team at Grace St. Andrews for about six years. He has been working at Galilee part time since Spring of last year. “I feel a very strong calling towards the work at Galilee, particularly in the Spirituality & Social Justice Institute,” said Illman-White. “It is exciting to work with individuals and groups as they explore where it is that their spirituality is calling them in their relationship with each other and the earth." In addition to Illman-White's current responsibilities (such as the coordination of programming for the Spirituality and Social Justice Institute), his additional hours will allow more time program facilitation, promotions, and coordination of spiritual direction.
