Tickets Now Available for Galilee Centre’s First Annual Fundraiser
25 per cent of the Silent Auction proceeds for the Partners in Caring Campaign to renovate the Emergency Department at ADMH

Arnprior, ON – August 27, 2007 - Galilee Centre released today tickets for their First Annual Fundraising event to be held Sunday, September 23. This year, the event will include a hot roast beef or vegetarian Luncheon, a Fashion Show and Silent Auction.

"It has been very exciting to plan this event in September," said Darlene O'Leary, Executive Director for Galilee Centre. "We are looking at this as a fun way to raise awareness about Galilee Centre as well as a way to raise money for our new program initiatives. We are also pleased to be able to contribute to Partners in Caring through the Silent Auction.”

Tickets for the Fashion Show/Luncheon are $25 per person or $40 per couple. They are available at Galilee Centre, and through the Fashion Show Contributors: Collections, Biba and Hart in Arnprior. The Luncheon starts at 12:00pm and is expected to finish at about 3:00. The Silent Auction will run the duration and continue until about 4:00.

Seating for the Fashion Show/Luncheon is limited (only 60 seats available) but the Silent Auction is open to the public to browse. There is a $2 registration fee to be able to bid on auction items.

“We were very pleased to learn that Galilee Centre would be contributing to the Partners in Caring Campaign,” said Crystal Larose, Fundraising/Public Relations Coordinator. “Any donations and contributions to Partners in Caring and ADMH are very much appreciated and we’d like to thank contributors to the Silent Auction on behalf of ADMH.”

Several sports items have been provided for the auction. M. Sullivan & Sons has donated two tickets for the first Senators home game of the season against Toronto and the Nick Smith Centre has donated a year swim membership. Other businesses that have committed items to date include: Campanale Homes, RBC Royal Bank, Kreiger’s Jewellers, Sandra B Shoes and many more to come.

“Individuals have also contributed items to our auction already,” said Deanna Karimullah, Promotions Coordinator for Galilee Centre. “We thank everyone who has donated their time, money and/or goods to date but could still use more.”

Any item donated to the auction would be appreciated and tax receipts are available upon request.
